Pradirgha Baithak (Budgeting) & Taleband Baithak (Balance Sheet)

The Budgeting is the process by which an organization can plan and control resources, manpower and money to achieve its goals and objectives, while balance sheet is a comprehensive (financial, response and impact) account of the completed program.

The budget for programs planned to be organised throughout the yearis placed before the General meeting. The Pradirgha Baithak, as the name suggests, takes place from nine in the morning to seven in the evening in a well-furnished hall outside Mumbai, in the month of June, every year.

The Head of each department present his concept, nature of the programme, the manpower required, the expected attendance and the estimated expenditure incurred or the income received by the Mandal, if applicable, summaries of previous years, etc. in a numerical and qualitative manner before the General meeting.

Nowadays, in the age of IT, many young volunteers present their budgets through PPT. After the report is presented, suggestions, objections are submitted by the members of the House and it is the duty of the Accounts Head to resolve them. The finance head keeps a record of the proposed expenditure given by the account head and finally prepares his budget.

The departments of education, lecture series, library, finance, Vivekananda Smriti are discussed in detail and at the end of the long meeting, the senior members guide the meeting.  Definitely, planning makes the programme half success.

Now let's come to the balance sheet meeting. After the completion of all the programs for the year, in the month of March, all Head of the Departments present the accounts of their completed programs in front of the House. After approval and guidance from seniors, the balance sheet meeting is successful.

Overall long meeting and balance sheet meeting is best combination which teaches students to plan financial and successful goal in real life.
